Privacy Policy

TFT Lobby Scout is a free community tool. This page is a good-faith plain-language summary of how we handle data; it is not legal advice, and we may update it as the project evolves.

What we collect

  • Riot IDs you type in.When you search for a player (for example, “Name#TAG”), that Riot ID is sent to our server so we can look it up against the Riot Games API.
  • Region selection. We send the region you pick (e.g. NA, EUW) alongside your search so we hit the right Riot shard.
  • Recent searches, stored in your browser.Your most recent Riot IDs are saved in your browser’s localStorage so the input can autofill. This data never leaves your device; we can’t read it from our servers.
  • Vercel Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous page views and Web Vitals. It does not set cookies and does not collect personally identifying information. Vercel derives a country from your IP and hashes the IP before we see anything.

What we cache server-side

To avoid hammering Riot’s API (and to keep the tool fast), we cache match data returned by the Riot Games API in a Postgres database. This cache is keyed by public PUUIDs that Riot itself publishes through its API. We do not store email addresses, passwords, payment info, or any data Riot has not already made publicly available through its developer endpoints.

What we do not do

  • No user accounts, logins, or passwords.
  • No advertising on the site as of the date above. If that ever changes, we will update this policy before enabling ads.
  • No selling, renting, or sharing of user data.
  • No third-party analytics or tracking beyond Vercel Analytics as described above.

GDPR and CCPA

Because TFT Lobby Scout does not store personal data beyond what Riot Games itself publishes via its public API, most rights you might exercise under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA (such as deletion or correction of your player data) flow through Riot Games directly. If you have a specific question about data we may hold (for example, a cached match tied to your public PUUID), email us at privacy@tftlobbyscout.com and we will do our best to help within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

TFT Lobby Scout is intended for users who are at least 13 years old, consistent with Riot Games’ own terms of service. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
